Kai Coders Named Finalist in Emerging Enterprise Center's Swim with the Shark Competition!

We are thrilled to announce that Kai Coders was honored to be a finalist in the Emerging Enterprise Center's Swim with the Shark competition, a prestigious event recognizing promising startups in Delaware. While we didn’t take home the grand prize, making it to the finals was a significant milestone, and we are incredibly proud of our founder, Deanna Bledsoe, for her passionate presentation that embodied something we teach all of our students: growth mindset and the courage to tackle challenges head-on! 🌟💪

Though Deanna has delivered many presentations in her career, this one was particularly unique—and vulnerable. Unlike speaking about specific topics, this was about her startup, her mission, and her heart, as she advocated for something we deeply believe in: equal access to quality tech education for every student, regardless of their zip code.

Our programs focus on inclusivity, reaching students across diverse communities, especially those in underserved areas. Deanna’s journey as a child didn’t include opportunities like this—her family simply couldn’t afford them. Now, as a founder, she is on a mission to ensure EVERY child has access to robust, engaging tech education in a welcoming and inclusive environment, where they feel they can thrive. By giving kids from all backgrounds the tools and confidence to succeed in the tech world, we aim to address the broader issue of underrepresentation in tech fields.
